Dr. Claudio Di Veroli


Italian, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Training: keyboards, woodwinds, tuning, musical interpretation and research with top teachers. Winner of several Argentine national musical competitions.
He then moves to England where carries on post-graduate research in mathematical statistics at Imperial College, while continuing his musical studies under internationally acclaimed teachers in London and Paris. With a PhD from the University of London he returns to Argentina where he pioneers the interpretation of Baroque music based on ancient practices. Harpsichord recitals in large concert halls. Closing recital of the 2000 season at the Baroque Organ in Buenos Aires Cathedral (see photo). Professor of Harpsichord and examiner of the Organ course at the National Conservatoire of Buenos Aires. Conferences and short courses in Argentina, Uruguay and Italy. More than two decades of group and individual tuition experience for music lovers, musicians and ensembles. Author of specialised books (Unequal Temperaments, Baroque Fingerings and Playing the Baroque Harpsichord) and articles in English, endorsed by leading international specialists. With his wife Betty and son Ariel he relocated to Ireland in 2001.
